How To Install Garbage Disposal In Sink

Garbage disposals are a convenient way to get rid of food scraps and other small items that can clog your sink. They are relatively easy to install, and you can usually do it yourself in a few hours. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to install a garbage disposal in your sink:

Step 1: Gather your materials

Step 2: Turn off the water supply

Before you start working on the garbage disposal, be sure to turn off the water supply to your sink. You can do this by turning off the valve under the sink or by turning off the main water supply to your home.

Step 3: Remove the old garbage disposal

If you are replacing an old garbage disposal, you will need to remove it before you can install the new one. To do this, first disconnect the power cord from the outlet. Then, use a wrench to loosen the mounting bolts that hold the garbage disposal in place. Once the bolts are loose, you can remove the garbage disposal from the sink.

Step 4: Install the mounting bracket
